Who were the jubilarians?

To mark a very special company anniversary, Mayor Knut Kreuch paid a business visit to Gothaer Fahrzeugachsen GmbH (GFA). The long-serving employees

  • Volkhard Leisner,
  • Heinz Walther,
  • Rolf Reckschwart and
  • Hartmut Kachel

all 4 of them have been with the company for over 50 years. These well-deserving colleagues are now (un)retired and come into the company twice a week, contribute their experience and still lend a hand.

 150 years of GFA

Gothaer Fahrzeugachsen GmbH has been an established manufacturer of commercial vehicle axles for over 150 years. It sells trailer axles in the load range from 3.2t to 7.5t. The focus is primarily on the customization and development of special axles, preferably in the load range. The company also specializes in the production of turned and milled components as well as robot-welded assemblies. “We pay particular attention to the quality of our products,” reports Managing Director Bernd Schneider. The axles produced by GFA not only withstand higher loads, but are also far more durable than those of the competition.
